Alde House is set in the
historic south Bucks village of Penn which is situated in a triangle
formed by Beaconsfield, High Wycombe and Amersham. Sitting on a ridge
in the Chilterns, Penn is a classic English village with parish church,
chapel, pub and village green. The village name simply means hill
as the village stands on a particular promontory of the Chiltern Hills.
The village also has international connections with the state of Pennsylvania
in the USA. William Penn, the famous Quaker is known to have had a
great regard for the village.
